If previous imaging has been taken related to a condition, please bring the radiology report and disc to assist with the examination. You can also request radiology reports be faxed to our office at (804) 560-9360 prior to your visit.
Wear or bring a tight t-shirt and shorts that are comfortable to move in. If you are a runner, bring a pair of worn shoes so the wear pattern may be assessed.
We value your time and the time of all of our patients. Our office strives to stay on time, so please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time with the doctor so our office staff can ensure all your paperwork is in order.
We will thoroughly examine your area of complaint in addition to a full-body movement screen to assess body mechanics and posture. This involves neurological testing, orthopedic testing, muscle testing, soft-tissue palpation, movement analysis using Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and a digital posture analysis. Further evaluation may be performed depending upon your condition or sport.
Depending upon the exam findings treatment recommendations can be given and therapy can start or a referral to an appropriate physician will be made. Treatment typically includes soft tissue and mobility work with a home care plan starting the same day. Our team will empower you with the skills to achieve faster and longer-lasting results.
Following your first appointment, we have all the information we need to create your customized treatment plan unique to your specific imbalances. Exam findings from day one will be reviewed with you, a diagnosis for your symptoms will be explained, and an appropriate treatment plan will be given based on your condition. If radiographic imaging was ordered it will be reviewed with you during this visit. Short and Long term goals will be discussed that will coincide with your treatment plan so we can better serve you.
We believe in following an evidence-based approach to provide a treatment that will produce the most results in the least amount of time. Based on current literature we believe every treatment plan should consist of soft tissue therapy, chiropractic treatment, and functional rehabilitation.
Our Front desk will discuss your copayment with you and answer any questions you have about your insurance plan. Insurance usually takes about 24 hours after the first visit to confirm coverage. We accept most insurance providers and seek to make your treatment as effective and affordable as possible.
