Dr. Robert Green is a board-certified Chiropractor, earning his Bachelors of
Science from the Eberly College of Science at Penn State University, and his
Doctorate from New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Green studied movement
science at the Lake Placid Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY.
A Richmond "Top Doc" with extensive experience in sports medicine, Dr. Green
is dedicated to providing exceptional care to individuals of all ages. His
professional certifications include Active Release Technique (ART), Selective
Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Range Conditioning
(FRC), Metabolic Efficiency Training Specialist (METS), Graston Technique
Certification, and Dry Needling Certification. Dr. Green is also a USA Triathlon
Coach and founder of HUB Training Center.
Dr. Green’s expertise blends soft tissue treatment, chiropractic mobility, and corrective exercises to resolve even the most complicated musculoskeletal problems. Dr. Green’s training and experience enable long-lasting results that go beyond recovery and bring individuals to their truest physical potential. Active Performance Recovery + Performance, founded by Dr. Green, was established with the mission to empower patients with the habits and skills to take control of their wellness and live a long, healthy, active life.
Dr. Green is a former pitcher at Penn State University and has completed over 20 Ironman competitions, including Kona World Championship. He has multiple wins in Ironman, IM 70.3, Savageman, Escape from Alcatraz, and was awarded King of the Mountain in Boone, NC after the Grandfather Mountain Marathon. Dr. Green’s athletic experience combined with technical knowledge and expertise enables top-notch, expert care with a deep understanding of how movement patterns and training impact success.

Richmond Chiropractor
Dr. Charlie Hancock grew up on Smith Mountain Lake in Moneta, Virginia, and
graduated with his Bachelors in Science with a degree in Exercise Science from
Liberty University in 2017. During his time at Liberty, he wrestled in the 235lb
weight class and was a three-time national qualifier in the NCWA. He also
became a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of
Sports Medicine (ACSM).
Dr. Charlie went on to receive in Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2020 from Palmer
College of Chiropractic Florida. Dr. Hancock furthered his passion for fitness by
working between classes as a personal trainer at a local YMCA. During his
clinical internship, Dr. Hancock volunteered in the Palmer Florida Rehab center
to further his knowledge and understanding of rehabilitative care.
Dr. Charlie officially joined the Active Team in January of 2021 and strives to
uphold the standards set before him. Dr. Charlie loves to work with all
populations but specializes in rehab and strength training. Dr. Hancock
specializes in soft tissue therapy and is an Active Release Therapy (ART)
provider. Additionally, he is certified in Functional and Kinetic Treatment With
Rehab (FAKTR), Functional Soft Tissue (FST), and Dry Needling to provide a well-
rounded approach to treat soft tissue dysfunctions.
In addition to quality chiropractic care, Dr. Charlie has a passion for rehab and loves to empower and teach people how to help themselves outside of the office. He is a certified Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) Practitioner and is certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) to provide top-notch movement-based treatment.
When he is not working, Dr. Charlie enjoys spending time with his wife Hannah who is a teacher, exercising with his friends, and mountain biking. He loves everything adventurous and loves trying new things like skiing, rafting, and skydiving. Additionally, Dr. Charlie enjoys volunteering with local high school wrestling teams and can be found helping out at the Midlothian Miners Wrestling club. Dr. Charlie is also an absolute nerd and loves everything Star Wars and Marvel-related.
